Country Clubs Challenge 2011 - Kerang
Saturday 2nd July and Sunday 3rd July
This year(2011) the Mid Murray Orchid Society hosted the challenge. Next Year 2012 it will be held in Warnambool.
In 2000 the first challenge between Western Victorian Orchid Societies was held over the first weekend in July. Since then the 9 clubs have met each year for the annual Challenge which has not only developed into one of the best shows seen in Victoria but also a most enjoyable weekend with almost 200 people attending the dinner held on the Saturday night. In 2005 St. Arnaud jooined the Challenge now making it 10 societies. In 2009 two new Societies joined , the Geelong Orchid and Indoor Plant Club and the Goulburn Valley Orchid Society now making it 12 societies. The societies involved are:
